Museum Programs, Collections, and Exhibitions

Glass is among the world’s most versatile and impactful materials. We tell its story through the lens of art, history, culture, technology, science, craft and design. Now more than ever, these stories remind us of our human condition, our capacity to create, innovate, and problem solve. In times of stress, museums are places to find meaning, respite, and solace.

Your gift to Museum Programs, Collections, and Exhibitions ensures our work reaches communities around the globe, making it possible for more than 450,000 visitors a year, near and far, both in person and online, to expand their understanding of how we draw inspiration from glass through the ages.

The Studio

From its beginning in 1996, The Studio has demonstrated its influence as a laboratory and catalyst for creativity and innovation in glass. Its impact is drawn from the extraordinary sense of community that it has created and tirelessly nurtures among artists, students, and scholars from throughout the world. Indeed, many turn to The Studio to push the boundaries for how contemporary art in glass is conceived and produced.

The Studio offers a wide array of classes for a variety of skill levels and techniques, artist residencies, rentals, and numerous special programs that reach special audiences such as underserved youth, veterans, and seniors. Without the equipment, expertise, and access, working in glass would be out of reach for most students, artists, and hobbyists.

Your gift to The Studio ensures we can offer specialized programs to the more than 65,000 visitors, students, and artists who work glass at The Studio each year.
